Context on DJ Semtex (BBC 1Xtra) Blog

Strong. The MTV playlisted video for ‘Off With Their Heads’ featuring Vertex of Marvell (produced by Slof Man and Elkat) has just been added to Semtex’s blog. I get so much of my hip hop related news from his blog so it feels sick to be on there myself!

BIG UP to everyone who came down to I Luv Live at Cargo last night. Really enjoyed it!

SAFE to RWD for the following review of my performance too:

“A last minute addition to the show as Icekid dropped out although by no means a lame substitute Norwich native Context bigged up by Twin B for his already notable achievements on SBTV, 1Xtra and MTV was next up on stage moving swiftly on and through the first track without a hitch. The second track Feelin Alone saw Genesis Elijah feel his guest bars to the extreme giving the cameraman some trouble by how far to the front of the stage he came complete with exit minus stairs connecting with the speaker on his way straight out of the venue. Not that that overshadowed the Norwich MC in any way as he continued through his faultless bars on Off With Their Heads as calm as anything (despite a short-lived band malfunction) definitely an artist to look out for if you aren’t already!”

Here are a few pictures from the night too. I’ll post the full Flava TV Show when it goes up!

Jake Gosling’s Footage Behind the Scenes of Off With Their Heads with Context and Ed Sheeran

Mr Jake Gosling just uploaded some behind the scenes footage of the video for Off With Their Heads being filmed in his studio in Surrey where I went to go and link up with Ed Sheeran – covert business. If you don’t know who Jake Gosling is, he has producer credits longer than Dhalsim out of Street Fighters arm, including remix work for Lady Gaga and Timbaland as well as production credits for Wiley, Scorcher and of course Ed Sheeran. Check out his upcoming nights too called Get Gassed. Here’s his covert antics:

Check out how the eventual video turned out (in case you havent already seen!)
